01Interactive lab
Every core skill, running live.
These are the building blocks every autonomous robot needs, and the exact things our members are learning. Each one is a real algorithm running in your browser; poke at it.
SLAM
Try it · Toggle “Ground truth” to compare the learned map with reality.
What it is
Simultaneous Localization and Mapping: building a map of an unknown place while keeping track of where you are inside it.
How it works
- 1A 360° lidar fires beams; each beam marks the cells it passes as free and the cell it hits as a wall.
- 2Poses are linked into a graph as the robot moves (blue).
- 3Recognising a place it has already seen closes a loop (green). The optimiser uses that to cancel drift.

02Meet the machines
Legs, wheels, wings and arms.
The robots we study, build and dream about, from a walking humanoid to the rover we're designing. Each one is a different way of moving through the world, and a different set of problems to solve.

04Skills & learning
Learning in public.
Honest progress meters for the division as a whole. We're early, and that's the fun part.

Projects & prototypes
Line Follower v0
IR array + PID on an Arduino, the controller you can tune above.
Servo test rig
Characterising torque, backlash and speed of our arm servos.
Kriya Arm CAD
3D-printable 4-DOF arm designed in Fusion 360.
Teleop rover shell
Two-motor test chassis for odometry and drive code.
06Open roles
Help us build the first robots.
Founding members shape how the division works. No robotics experience needed for most roles.
ROS & software
Write nodes, simulate in Gazebo and own the navigation stack.
Mechanical design
Design chassis, arms and grippers; prototype with 3D printing.
Electronics & embedded
Motor drivers, power systems, sensor wiring and firmware.
Perception & AI
Cameras, lidar, object detection and mapping pipelines.
